Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Tinker Cliffs
Come for a little stroll after a hard week of classes. Tinker Cliffs is in the beautiful Catawba Valley. The hike is just under 8 miles with 2000 feet of elevation gain. Parts of the trail are quite steep, and the views at the top are beautiful. We’ll try to catch the sunset at the top.
The plan:
1415 – leave Echols
1615 – arrive at trailhead and hike up
1745 – sunset
2000 – arrive back at car
2200 – arrive back in Charlottesville
You bring:
– shoes to hike in
– water
– snack
– jacket (it’s supposed to be chilly)
– headlamp for the hike back in the dark
Drivers get gas reimbursed + 50% tip
