Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Dragon's Tooth
Come hike the famous Dragon’s Tooth, a nice little hike with a cool rock formation at the top. The hike is around 6 miles with 1500 ft elevation gain. The top is somewhat strenuous as there is a good bit of scrambling over the rocks. My favorite part is getting to climb the tooth at the top where there are some sweet views of the Catawba Valley.
We’ll leave from Echols at 0800, arrive at the trailhead around 1000, hike and have lunch on the Tooth, and return to Charlottesville no later than 1600.
You bring:
– Water (1-2 L)
– Lunch
– Snacks if desired
– Sturdy/hiking shoes
– Good riddles for the car ride; do not disappoint me
