Let’s hit the hills before class! Sunrise at Humpback is not until 07:20 this Thursday, so this is perfect for those of you who love sunrise hikes, but not getting up at 04:30. Humpback is a short but steep hike, ~1 mile long with ~800 ft. elevation gain. We will depart from Echols with full tanks of gas no later than 05:45, make the 30 minute drive to the hike, and aim to be at the top around 07:00 to watch the whole sunrise. We should be back no later than 08:30.
Everyone will be waitlisted until I have a driver or two. Drivers get priority (and don’t forget the club provides reimbursements for gas plus tip).
You bring:
– snack/breakfast
– appropriate footwear
– flashlight or headlamp
– 1L water
– car (for waitlist priority)
