The James River Association is holding its annual river clean up called “The Tire-Less James” on October 3. There will be ~100 volunteers paddling down the James River to find and pick up tires along the way. It’s a fantastic opportunity to give back and have an exciting adventure at the same time.

THE PLAN:

-Paddle and start scouting for them tires, boy
-Pick up tires and put them on a central “barge”
-Land in Scottsville by evening
-Either camp or head back to Charlottesville that night
-Sweet, tire-less dreams

We need drivers who can load a kayak/canoe on their car. The club has straps and foam blocks to enable cars without racks to carry boats without causing any damage. We may also just need cars to carry people. Keep these things in mind when signing up to drive.
