Carderock
Carderock
For those living in the DC area, here’s another chance to go climbing outdoors. Carderock, just outside Washington D.C. on the Maryland side of the Potomac River, is a super popular crag for people in the metro area. In fact, this is where I first learned to climb!
However, since we are not meeting up at Echols, the club will not be supplying harnesses and shoes for this trip (although I do have a medium and a small harness I can lend if you are ok climbing in tennis shoes. Just let me know).
We will be meeting at the Carderock climbers parking lot (that’s the furthest parking lot upstream, i.e. make a right when you enter Carderock and keep on going to the end).
I had to pick an end time so I set it to 5pm, but we can of course leave earlier or later if people want.
