Mint Springs Valley Park, Mint Springs Park, Crozet, VA, USA
Historical Info:
Though this hike may seem unassuming, (very) local legend has it that philanthropist Jean Beauregard (Jombo) buried half of his inheritance in them there hills of Crozet, VA. Nobody knows for sure where ol Jombo buried it, but residents/oldheads tend to think the most likely spot is in the mountains near Mint Springs Park. This hike takes us right through there, as it happens. I believe we will find ts
I grew up in Crozet, so this particular hike is very near and dear to my heart. The first part of it is on the Mint Springs Trail, but the second half diverges along a path pretty much only known to locals (with a freakin beautiful view at the summit !!). It’s not illegal though I swear. You get to see my entire hometown from up high like ur some big ol bird or something. I mean cmon that sounds pretty cool right who doesn’t want to be a bird deep down

This hike about three miles round trip. It’s pretty darn steep at points lowk but we can adjust pace depending on how people are feeling. Bonus points for bringing chocolate milk.
We need one more driver, so if you can drive, you’ll get priority off the waitlist and gas reimbursement + tip
