I know this might be a shot in the dark but I have Monday’s off and thought I’d throw together a hike and see if anyone else might be interested in joining me. I’ve never done this one before but it looks like a good one! You can check out all the details here: http://www.hikingupward.com/GWNF/TorryRidge/
The weather is supposed to be mostly sunny high in the low 50’s, perfect hiking weather! It’s about 9 miles and quite the incline on the front end but the views will be worth it! We’ll hike through Sherando Lake and I think there’s a waterfall along the way as well. I don’t know how long it will take to get through but I’m planning to be back before 4pm which will leave you plenty of time to finish your work that’s due Tuesday :^) (and plenty of time for us to hike)
Things you’ll need to bring: Sturdy footwear, layers of clothing, at least 1 liter of water, snacks and lunch – we’ll be burning lots of calories so try to bring foods that will replenish (a salad will not be sufficient, we don’t want to have to carry you out), camera to document our awesome adventure and sunscreen if your prone to burning and want to be cautious 🙂 I suppose you can never be too prepared!
Right now I’m planning on just taking my car so I’ll limit it to 5 people.
