TRAIL BIRTHING: ENTERING A NEW TRIMESTER

OVERVIEW

Why hellooo my fellow woods people, mud creatures, trail enthusiasts alike!!!

Our trail hath been singing to us in this deep winter hibernation, and as the ground thaws, its time for us to sing back — it’s basically spring so let’s GET IN THOSE TRAILS!!!

This trip is gonna be more imaginative and technical than usual, as we gonna hop into the trail we marked last fall (ODC Trail Crew represent!!) and start building now that we have official UVA approval. Bureaucracy, woooo!!!! This means we’ll flag the trail corridor start clearing it, aka playing in the land and then boom a trail materializes. A few trail mongerers shall also voyage through the existing ohill trails to install some BOOMIN sign posts and make sure everything is all juicy in there!!!

It’s a beautiful time to connect with the land as it heralds in a spring season and just have some fun. So strap on yo closed-toed shoes and layers, get ready for some Bodo’s, strut on over to Slaughter and get ready to HAVE FUNNNN with our wondrous trails!!!!! We’ll gather at 8:50/9 and shall wrap up around high noon!!

SIDE NOTE: Our glorious trail crew, which includes anyone who wants to get funky with trails, is looking to more holistically connect with trails (i.e. knowing our local plants and ecology, studying the stories of our land including history with the Monacan peoples and current happenings, artistic interpretation of our trail times, reflective gatherings on what trails mean in our lives, and mucho more) so if this tickles your trail, text me at 856-952-5395 and I’ll keep ya updated on the scheming!!!!!
