trail maintenance + bodos

OVERVIEW

In case you didn’t get to meet odc’s blue-blazed section of the Brown Rocky Mountain trail back in December, you’re in luck because we’re going back to do some maintenance this Saturday!!

This will be our second trip out to the section, and we’ll be joined by two experienced trail maintainers who will teach us more about pruning, waterbar clearing, and other fun maintenance stuff that keeps our trails in shape for us to use! Our section requires us to hike 5-6 miles total, so we’ll be getting a nice walk in as well.

9am meet jim & Leigh at swift run gap ranger station
get tools, drive to brown mountain trail @ mile post 77
hike 5-6 miles out and back LEARN & MAINTAIN OUR NEW BABY
3 pm start driving back to cville
back in cville by 4 AT THE LATEST
