Do you know absolutely nothing about tree identification? Are you a master naturalist? Or, like me, do you know like five types of trees, but have a dichotomous key and a plant ID app and want to know more? Well, either way, join me on Friday morning to traverse (meander) through the treacherous (very well maintained) network of trails on O’hill as we try and identify those magnificent wild creatures (plants).
If you are not interested in IDing trees specifically but want to try and find other things (plants more generally, birds, mushrooms) or literally just want a chill walk in the woods you are still more than welcome on this trip.
Recommended to bring:
– Something that can help you identify plants (dichotomous key, some sort of plant ID app, like iNaturalist Seek, etc.)
– Water! (Yum!)
Plan:
– 9:00 – meet at Echols
– 9:05 – walk around the woods and look for THINGS
– 10:30 – reemerge from the woods and go our merry little ways
