Hellooo fellow consumers in ecosystems, is anyone else feeling deeply enamored by trees as you navigate the world? Beckoned by their pine-needly-embrace? Harkened by their winding bark? Tickled by the secrets of their inner water tubes?
My pondering and admiration of trees shall only reign stronger as we march towards winter, so I say let’s go putz around the woods and try to get to know them a lil better. Come with any tree ID aspirations / books / apps (there are some SWEET ones in the world of technology I hear) and let’s get romping. I’ll bring a tree book and a journal for moments of feeling/inspiration and lots of endless appreciation for you all and our tree comrades!!!!!
DA PLAN: Converge at Slaughter at 3:30, ponder how tree-like we be feelin in that moment
3:30-4:45 romp through the ohill trails and see what things we can see when we’re really looking!!!! Any stops for journaling / creative fits of passion embraced.
5ish — embark into the willowing dusk of a night ripe with trees, love, and more trees.
This trip is thoroughly beginner-friendly — come with any experience of tree knowledge and we’ll build our roots together!!
