Trip Leader Workshop

OVERVIEW

Hey club!

The air temperature is rising, and so is our collective zest for spending time rambling through the woods! From now until the end of the semester there will surely be an increase in the demand for trips. As you may know, our volume of trips is exclusively a function of how many members decide to lead trips!!

THE MORE MEMBERS WHO CAN LEAD TRIPS, THE MORE TRIPS THERE ARE!!

So….. become a trip leader!

Why?

1) It’s very low-pressure. You simply need to read the relatively brief leaders manual and understand reimbursement policy, and you’re in! “Leading” something like a hike is quite simple. You’re essentially just orchestrating some basic logistics.

2) If you lead 4 trips your dues are reimbursed!

3) It’s a terrific chance to meet people in the club and get some leadership experience. Resumes are a thing, right?

4) THE CLUB NEEDS YOU!! We really need people to step up and lead trips!

Do you need to have a car to lead trips? No! Many of our trip leaders, myself included, do not own cars. You’ll just wait list everyone until a driver signs up.
