Ultra Awesome SENECA ROCKS Climbing Moment

OVERVIEW

This weekend we shall venture to the SENECA ROCKS in search of chill vibes and rock ascension. We are contemplating a day of sport and a day of trad, though we can go based on vibes and also mix and match. You should know how to put up routes/clean / we can take 1 or 2 people willing to learn. If you don’t know how to trad climb there will be ample top-roping / mock (trad) leading opportunities. We are beginner trad climbers and cannot teach you how to climb trad, but wherever we go we will have a mix of trad and sport stuff around …. We could also go somewhere like Lower Meadow where there is lots of good sport and trad in close proximity. We tend to get on 5.10-11 sport climbs and exceedingly easier for trad but we can pick a crag that works for everyone.

If anyone wants to drive that could be kind of awesome and u get a tip…

You Bring:
Harness
Chalk
Shoes
Helmet!!
Belay device
Food
Sleeping provisions sufficient for a cool October’s eve (tent, bag, mat, warmth, white noise machine, earplugs, inflatable king sized mattress, hair curlers)
$11 for camping but this is reimbursable by the club

We bring:
Rope
Draws
Rack
a bottle of bees (yes, you can have some)

The PLAN
– leave saturday morning (7am ish)
CLIMB CLIMB CLIMB
-when we feel the sun begin its goodbye we shall depart the crag for ray’s campground

-Roll out of bed, shovel the crusties out of your eyes and prepare to send
– LEAVE ON SUNDAY AROUND 5-6
– cville return by 9ish
