Var Spring Caving Convention 2009!

OVERVIEW

It is finally time for Spring VAR caving!!! We will leave Friday night arriving at our campsite that night. We will be exploring 2 caves on Saturday and 1 cave on Sunday with awesome guides. There will be several trips of beginner, intermediate, and advanced caves; so you can choose your level and caves once we arrive Friday night. Besides the caves there will a DJ, fire, and we will be making some awesome dinners!

PLease print it out, fill it out, put in $30.00, and send it to the address on there BEFORE THE DEADLINE! This will help us get the caves we want.

Breakfast will be provided Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Saturday. SO bring some snacks for the cave. But the meals shall be the bomb, so get pumped for some good food.
YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN DISHES AND UTENSILS!

All equipment: helmets, headlamps, batteries, knee pads, sleeping bags, and tents will be provided if needed; I will be picking up all gear for you before the trip. so no worries about gear room.

Bring some clothes to get dirty in for sure; if you are facebook friends with me, check out the pics for Fall VAR…it is necessary to get that dirty, but i recommend it. The good news is there will be showers on site; showering is not necessary though. 🙂 And the caves temperature is around 55 degrees so bring layers and extra clothes for Saturday and Sunday. Synthetics are good if you have them, but make sure it is something you are okay ruining. I would go to good will before the trip and grab some cheap stuff you don’t care about. In the caving world, fanny packs are in! They are convenient for battery/flashlight storage. If you threw yours away in the 80s then bring some plastic baggies!
