Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
South River, Waynesboro
The Virginia Fly Fishing Festival is this coming weekend, conveniently taking place in Waynesboro on the South River.
I invite you to join me for a night of camping in St. Mary’s Wilderness on Saturday before a full day of flyfishing in Waynesboro on Sunday. There will be an Orvis Instructional Tent with gear to try out, and lots of other great sponsors and vendors. Many-a famous flyfisherman will be coming from across the country to speak to us and give demonstrations on flycasting techniques, reading the water, what flies to use to optimize your catch, etc. This festival is an excellent learning opportunity for all those aspiring anglers out there. This should be awesome, and I am very excited! Please sign up if you have your own gear. Gear options are otherwise limited, but still shoot me an email if you want to sign up but do not have access to gear, and perhaps we will be able to work something out.
Indicate whether or not you have a Virginia fishing license and trout stamp when you sign up; St. Mary’s is stocked, and if we’re lucky, we may be able to reel in some dinner 🙂
