Vote early, ride bikes (Sherando ADV MTB)

OVERVIEW

You gotta love election day. It’s not often that we get a random day off mid week, so better take advantage of it and spend some time outside. Please make a point to vote early/by mail/after we get back – don’t want this trip to be the reason you don’t vote.

If you haven’t ridden at Sherando yet, it has awesome trails and is only 40 min from grounds. We’re still deciding the exact route for the ride, but it will probably be something like this: https://strava.app.link/qgJRIjqubOb. Expect to ride about 25 miles with 4000′. Sherando has some tough climbs and pretty chunky riding so this trip will be rated advanced, please feel free to reach out if you’re on the fence about whether to come.

Approx schedule
9am: meet at Shrack
10am: arrive at TH
3pm: finish biking
4pm: back in Cville

We’ll provide:
– Bikes/helmets
– Bike racks
– Pumps, tools, etc

You bring:
– Water: 2-3L
– Food: lunch and snacks
– Appropriate clothing/footwear
– Gloves are recommended for keeping the fingers working in the cold and protecting your hands from scrapes if you fall – $10 Mechanix work gloves are great
– A bag to carry your water and food

***DRIVERS NEEDED***
Drivers will be given priority off the waitlist and are reimbursed for gas + 50% tip up to $20 – please arrive with a full tank of gas!
