Walnut Creek Mountain Biking!

OVERVIEW

Hey all!

I’ve been wanting to lead another mountain biking trip for a long time! So lets go to Walnut Creek on Thursday! There are a couple of trails around Virginia that I’d like to check out for the first time or at least the first time in a very long time so the next trip I post may be to one of those. I’m also hoping to lead a biking trip to sherando at some point this semester (maybe the next trip I lead?) Before doing anything like that though, I’m going to lead at least a trip to Walnut creek to build up some hype about those trails and give anyone who’s relatively new to biking or has not been doing it all that much recently an opportunity shake the rust off. If you’re someone who’s been itching for some shredding recently it would be great to have you along!

Since we are going to be doing Walnut Creek and I’m hoping this trip could serve to make people more comfortable on the bike and excited about doing more advanced trails around Virginia, I am going to gear this trip towards beginners and intermediate mountain bikers. That being said, Walnut Creek has trails spanning a wide variety of difficulty levels so depending on the skill level of the group that joins the trip and the way the group feels, I’d be happy to do the more advanced trails there as well. Depending on who signs up we can pick what trials we would like to hit up when we get there.

Walnut creek is an awesome place for biking and its 25 minutes away so depending on people’s time constraints, the time we return to Charlottesville is flexible. We will probably be back before 6pm, I just wanted to play it safe with the end time in case something happens or we want to stay longer.

Please bring: water, snacks (if you want them), and a good attitude
