Wednesday Morning Birding

OVERVIEW

Hey everyone, I’m back with another birding trip on Wednesday morning!

If you like looking at birds or just want to know what the heck are those birds that are flying around, this is the trip for you! We will be going to Lickinghole Creek, the closest hotspot to UVA on eBird with 200 species listed. The trail is easy and takes about 10 minutes to get to the lake where we will hopefully see some water birds. Everyone is welcome to join this trip regardless of your birding experience!

The gear room has three binoculars which I will bring, but if you have your own binoculars or a camera with a zoom lens, please bring those. Also if you download the Merlin ID app, you can ID birds by call!

Plan:
6:45 am – meet at echols
7:05 – 9:20 am – arrive at creek and look for them birds
9:30 am – back at echols

What to bring:
– Water
– Binoculars/camera if you have them
