White Oak Canyon Hike

OVERVIEW

The weatherman says it’s going to be 63 degrees on Sunday and no rain! Let’s celebrate by going hiking at White Oak Canyon.

This hike is strenuous but rewarding as there are several waterfalls along the way.

We will meet outside of Echols Dorm at 8:00 AM and will leave by 8:15 AM, which should put us in the parking lot by 9:30 AM. It’s an 8 mile loop with an elevation gain of about 2,450 ft, and will take 4-5 hours! The goal is to get back to Cville around 3pm, so you will still have enough time for a nap and some homework.

I have a park pass, but if more people sign up than just my car, there may be a $5 entry fee.

To bring:
-good sturdy shoes
-water
-packed lunch & snacks
-$5 fee (if people have Shenandoah passes this fee will not exist)

DRIVERS NEEDED
-I can only allow 4 people until drivers sign up!
-Drivers need to show up to Echols with a full tank of gas!
-Drivers get priority off the waitlist. The club reimburses for gas +50% tip!
