Not partaking in commencement festivities this weekend? Then come with me to my happy place (the TBD whitewater river) and escape the mobs of relatives that are soon to descend on C-ville.
(This is the SUNDAY trip, I’m doing a trip on Saturday as well, and something tells me that Saturday’s trip will be the more beginner friendly one, Sunday will probably end up being more advanced, but sign up for both anyways if you’re free!).
Sign up regardless of your level, the venue will be determined based on who signs up, and daily flow conditions.
This will NOT be a flatwater intro course. However, an all-in-one (Intro in some slow moving eddy, immediately followed by river trip) for a handful of people is always a possibility.
Everyone gets waitlisted till I pick a spot. This trip may be canceled by late Saturday night due to insufficient interest, unfavorable river conditions, etc.
Destinations west of the border are also a possibility (if people with the skills sign up).
Bring whatever gear you have, club provides boats and gear if you need them.
As always – bring non-cotton layers (i.e. underarmor) just in case.
Bring sunscreen, bathing suit, towel, Lunch/snacks (or $ to procure them on the way), and your ID incase we pass a quality watering hole on the way back from the TBD destination.
Don’t freak out about the start/end times, those are just place holders, I’ll communicate better times as possible destinations emerge (which could be earlier/later depending on where we end up going).
