Winter Break Skiing/Boarding — F’n Whistler!

OVERVIEW

I HAVE EXTENDED THE DEADLINE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY CONTACTED ME AND PAID. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU ARE NOT ONE OF THESE PEOPLE

Whistler Blackcomb is consistently rated as the number one ski resort in North America, and this is pretty much all you need to know about that. We will be skiing the 200+ trails on the mountain over six days, while staying right smack dab in the middle of Whistler Village (where all the bars, nightclubs, shopping, etc. are!) Note: This not only has the potential to be, but DEFINITELY WILL BE the greatest trip this club has or ever will see.

ITINERARY:
Monday, Jan. 7th, 2008: Depart for Seattle by air (most likely from BWI, we will carpool), Spend the night in beautiful Seattle (awesome city, I’ve been there, you’ll love it)
Tuesday: Greyhound ride to Whistler, check-in, grocery shop, check out the town, etc.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday: SKI/BOARD the best mountain in North America
Tuesday, Jan. 15th, 2008: Greyhound ride back to Seattle, Fly back to the East Coast, possibly return to C-ville super late
Wednesday: Most likely return date to C-ville, you’ll probably miss your first day of classes, but who the hell cares, you just got back from F’N WHISTLER

WHAT DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR?
Flight: $250, we will book as a group
Bus Ride: $54 round trip
Lift Tickets: if you have a Snowshoe season pass: ~$200-$250
if you don’t have a Snowshoe pass: $410
Lodging: ~$150, could be less if more people sign up
Total: ~$700 w/ a Snowshoe pass

WHAT IS THE CLUB PAYING FOR?
Lodging Stipend: $5/person/night for nights we Ski/Board
Travel Stipend: $50 for the bus ride
Food: $8/person/day for days we Ski/Board, should cover all food expenses

WHATS NOT INCLUDED?
Ski/board rentals if you need them
Food for Non-Ski/Board days

WHO SHOULD SIGN UP?
Skiers and boarders of all levels are welcome. If you have any previous experience Whistler will have something that fits your level of expertise. By signing up here you are saying that you are at least 90% sure you will be attending. By November 14th, the sign up deadline, you must be 100% sure you can attend.

HOW DO I BECOME AN OFFICIAL MEMBER OF THIS EXCELLENT TRIP?
Everyone will be waitlisted until they have booked a flight to Seattle. The sign-up deadline is Wednesday, November 14th at 5 p.m. That night, we will have a “Ticket Buying Party” at my house, where everyone will book their tickets at the same time. You will then be officially added to the trip. If you have your own laptop please bring it with you that night.

ONE FINAL THING
YOU WILL NEED A US PASSPORT TO GET INTO CANADA. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ONE, AND IF YOU DON’T YOU NEED TO GET ONE ASAP (and by ASAP I mean by the end of November or you’re screwed)
