Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Thornton Hall
Do you know the signs of hypothermia? Want to learn What Not To Wear in a Backcountry Winter Wonderland? Ever wonder how you move around on several feet of snow? Well, this hour or so is for you!
Becca (a Vermonter with tons cold and snow experience) and I (a Southern who drinks lots of tea) are going to answer these questions in an interactive hour of juicy awesomeness. The trip is definitely for the folks going on my backpacking trip this weekend, but you can come as well to pick up random wintry tips.
Oh! As a special bonus, we might have time for some arts and crafts. I’ve got some insulation to make cozies for pots, bowls, and meals. http://www.antigravitygear.com/cozy-collection.html (Since I bought the $20 roll, if you end making something, I’d suggest throwing me a buck or something.)
We’ll meet at Echols first at 5pm to grab the gear for this weekend’s trip, and then we’ll reconvene right inside of Thornton at 5:15pm so that Becca can guide us to Thornton C310 or C311 where we’re meeting.
If you can’t make it at 5 or 5:15pm, feel free to turn up and join us late.
