WTF beginner sunset MTN bike ride!!

OVERVIEW

Hello all future shredders of the Ohill! I have found the perfect beginner mtn bike route and I am very excited to show you all! Not only will we be mountain biking, but we will be able to see a beautiful sunset as we ride through the woods! On the ride we will go over basic body position, braking, and everything to make you comfortable on the bike! The pace will be nice and slow with lots of breaks. The only prerequisite for this trip is being able to ride a bike comfortably and safely. If you have any questions about it shoot me a text 434-664-5154.

And, since mountain biking is such a male dominated sport, both in our club and in general, we decided to make this trip an affinity trip for our women, trans and non binary members! Please only sign up if you identify as a member of one of these groups.

We will meet at the Shred Shack (116 Washington Ave) at 6pm to get bikes and helmets fitted, and then head up to ohill trails.
***this trip isn’t necessarily first come first serve, as removal from the waitlist will be based on bike size availability, however we will try our best to go in order of sign ups***

What to bring:
Water! and maybe a small backpack to carry it, unless it will fit in a bike water bottle cage
Closed-toe shoes (tennis shoes or vans work great)
Sporty clothes to bike in, (longer shorts or leggings work the best!)
Gloves if you like, but not needed!

What I’ll bring:
Bikes!
Helmets!
Multi-tool and med pack!

The plan:
6pm: Meet at Shred Shrack (116 Washington ave) 6pm SHARP
6:10: Ride up to the trails
6:10-7:15: Ride Ride Ride and look at pretty sunset views
7:15: head back to the shred shrack
7:30: Go home!
