Hey all u toads!

Here I am again with a bike trip, but this time I’m leading it with my awesome friend Susannah!!!!! If you have been itching to try out mountainbiking for the first time ever, this is a trip for you, or if you have biked before a few times but want to take your time getting back in the saddle this is also a trip for you!!!! This is a beginner trip and will be slow and easy so don’t hesitate to sign up even if you think you might not be able to keep up WE GO SLOW and will teach you!!!!

We have an idea for a nice route or two picked out but we can def adjust this based on skill level and energy level! We will take the pace nice and slow, so that everyone feels comfortable taking their time and getting comfortable on the trails. We’ll also take plenty of breaks and walk any features that we need to! The only prerequisite for this trip is the ability to ride a bike. You don’t need any mountain biking or trail biking experience, just know the basics of bike riding.

And, since mountain biking is such a male dominated sport, both in our club and in general, we decided to make this trip an affinity trip for our women, trans and non binary members! Sometimes joining a trip that is all (or mostly) men is very intimidating, especially as a beginner, so if you have ever felt that way about a biking trip come join us on Friday!!!!!

We will meet at the Shred Shack (116 Washington Ave) to get y’all your bikes and helmets fitted, and then head up to ohill. If you have any questions or concerns, or feel uncomfortable signing up on the website for any reason just shoot me a text at (804) 980-5222 !!!!

What to bring:
Small backpack to carry water (water is ESSENTIAL ITS SO HOT AND SWEATY OUT)
Closed toe shoes plzzz
Gloves (if u want)
Appropriate clothes– probs shorts and a tshirt or tank top its gonna be hot and sweaty!!!
—-> if you have any non-cotton tops that is best

What we bring:

12:15 Meet at shred shack garage (116 Washington Ave)
12:30 ish ride up to Ohill trails
12:45-1:45/2 ish bike!
2 ish (or whenever were tired) bike back to shrack
2:15 ish put away bikes and head home!
****this is a loose plan and may take shorter time!
