Y’all ever see a bear fence (like sword-fight) before? (SUNSET HIKE!!!)

Anyway,
Do you want to see the same spectacular views and colors that you get from a sunrise without having to get up at some ungodly hour of the morning? Do you simply prefer looking west over looking east? Well I have just the thing for you! A sunset!

I’ve never been to Bearfence but it seems like a nice place to be, so let’s go there and enjoy a nice midweek sunset while we’re at it! The hike is a moderate one mile hike, so this trip is totally beginner friendly. You can find more info about the hike here:

The Plan:
– meet at echols @ 5:30 pm
– leave by 5:40 and drive about an hour to the Bearfence Mountain trailhead
– head up the mountain by 7:00 and catch the sunset at 7:30
– hike back down to the car, drive home, and arrive back in cville by about 9:30 pm

Stuff to bring:
– $5 or park pass for entry into Shenandoah National Park
– snacko
– h2o
– flashlight/headlamp
– extra warm layer
– sturdy shoes
