Yup. You read that subject line right.
ODC has an in on the corporate duopoly that runs the American ski industry, which means that you do, too. We’re STOKED to announce that we’re able to get ODC members and general UVA students an extra $80 off of the typical college discount that Alterra offers for Ikon Passes.
This means that you can get an Ikon Pass for the 2025-2026 season for $889 or an Ikon Base Pass for $569 before prices go up on April 17th!
(For reference, a full-price Ikon Pass is $1,329, and for students at other schools, it’s $969.)
So, how do I get the discount, you ask? Follow these steps.
- Open the form linked here.
- Input the relevant personal info and upload your current class schedule (info on this below)
Once you’ve done this, we’ll review your form and approve you for the discount! From there, be on the lookout for an email from collegeclub@ikonpass.com with your promo code and instructions on how to purchase your pass.
*You can get the promo code and not buy an Ikon pass, but without filling out the form, you won’t have access to the discount if you do end up wanting it! Better to be safe than sorry.*
How do I find a version of my class schedule that includes my name and the date?
- Open SIS and navigate to “My Schedule”
- Change the Term in the upper left corner to 2025 Spring
- Hit the printer button in the upper left to download your schedule as a PDF!
Note that PRICES INCREASE APRIL 17th, so to get the best discount, fill out the form ASAP! You can, however, still get a discounted price for the entirety of the time passes are on sale, so if you don’t want to pull the trigger yet, it won’t be too late to do so at another time.
Tier 1 Pricing (ends April 17th):
- Ikon Pass = $889
- Ikon Base Pass = $569
Tier 2 Pricing (April 17th to TBD)
- Ikon Pass = $979 (this is an increase of $90)
- Ikon Base Pass = $649 (this is an increase of $80)
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AN ODC MEMBER TO USE THIS DISCOUNT, but you do need to be a current UVA student (this includes 4th years and grad students). E.g., if you have friends who go here who like skiing, share this with them! We want to make outdoors sports as accessible as possible to the *whole* UVA community (or, at least as accessible as they can be in this industry). It is pertinent that the discount form link is not shared with anyone outside of UVA—Ikon does check, and you will put ODC at risk of losing this privilege if you share it with people who aren’t current UVA students.
