Hello Hello!!
The weather hasn’t been treating us very well for a bonfire these past few weeks 🙁 but boy do I have some good news….we will be having a bonfire this Friday with Flux! It will start at 7:30 and will be in the shrackyarddd (116 Washington Ave.)!
Flux is UVA’s one and ONLY poetry and spoken word club! So this event will be a s’mores bonfire bash and poetry reading/listening collaboration! And this is open to anyone– even if you have never heard of Flux or have no poetry to share! It will be a mix between an informal-style poetry reading/open mic and social bonfire like normal, a perfect mashup of our two clubs! ALSO if you want to bring an instrument those are more than welcome as well!
If you have never been to Flux before, here is how the readings will work:
We will have a wonderful D.O.P.E. (Director of Poetry Events), and a sign up sheet. If you have poetry or spoken word you would like to read, you can sign up on the sheet which we will have at the bonfire, and you can share with all of us! This will be done loosely and based on the vibes of the bonfire so the night is gonna be chill and go with the flow!!!
(We will also provide drinks and smores of courseeee :))
